A few days ago, I was reminded of why I do everything that I can to avoid being on a payment plan. One of my dreams in life has been to have the perfect smile, but I had to put it off for years because I was always too broke to get braces, or due to job restrictions (my duty station didn’t allow anyone on active duty to get them). Thankfulness the Wright Way

I am fully aware of how cheesy/cliche/unoriginal it may seem to write a post about all the things I’m thankful for the day before Thanksgiving, but it’s necessary for me. I will admit that I’m the type who often looks at the glass being half-empty, which is not something I’m proud of, but it’s also a tough mindset to break away from. One way to force myself to think some positive thoughts every now and then is by thinking of what in my life is actually good. First World Problems.

I’ve been going back and forth about sharing my current dilemma, because bringing it up makes me feel like a spoiled brat. Then I told myself that if I blog about it, it might give me a little clarity. I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I am a veteran and I am currently in school. Who’s Paying The Rent?

I have yet to speak on the topic of money and relationships, and one of the reasons why is because it can get pretty heated. There’s one news article after another pronouncing that the #1 cause for divorce is money, and for obvious reasons. Money can be easy to come by, but it’s just as easy to spend up and find yourself strapped for cash. If you get into a relationship with someone whose attitude towards money is the complete opposite of your own, things can go south quickly. Continue reading
